The First Marcos Base counted to 25 officers and 320 sailors. INS Karna, Indian Navy’s first dedicated base of its Special Operation Force, Marine Commandos (Marcos). It was commissioned by chief of naval staff Admiral Suresh Lanba at INS Kalinga, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India on July 12, 2016.
